evaluation

Since I have now finished this project I can now thoroughly evaluate the project 

Idea 

When I started the project, I listed local businesses in my area which either doesn't have a website or that their website was very basic and not as well put together as it should. The reason I chose Cyril and son fisherman is because I have known them for many years of my life and that he Is also my next door neighbor so I thought it would make my job a lot easier to do if my client was my next door neighbor so again my problem is that always choose the easiest option. 

The reason I chose them because they didn’t have a website and the only way their buyers can contact them is by trying to find their phone or email but with the website they can find information of the company's past and what they're ideals are and what they strive for in their business and also this website can be found by potential clients for my client so it turs into a hub of potential buyers for my client. 

Research 

 For my research I investigated multiple websites that present some good examples of website design. For example, I looked at the Ubisoft website which gave me the idea of the background of the website being either just the picture of something that relates to my client or could be a slideshow of my clients produce and would act as some sort of eye catching bait to visitors to the website and could act as lure for them to continue into the website, another website I looked at as another local fish supplier called Coles which is based in kings Lynn, when it comes to family run food producers their websites usually contain a kind of history section to explain who they are and why they should be trusted with supplying the produce to your business and this section is the seller for most produce sites because it gives the buyer trust in you, so this gave me the idea to create pages about my client as a business and as a family since this is a family business another, another idea Coles gave me was the idea to have a contact me page so it gives the visitors of the site multiple ways to talk to my client and that to also have a produce page to show the them what my client can produce and what they can do for their business so giving examples of what my client can do. 

From what I found out in my research I have got some ideas for my pages on my website which will be a Who are we, what we do, contact us. 

Planning 

The planning stage included in me using paper and drawing out my pages and show the flow of what the website would look like this would also include what buttons would be there also how I would design the banner for my website separately on photoshop along with the buttons for the social media my client has also I'm going to write all the text that would be present on the website would be done in photoshop because you can mess around with how the text would look like same with the design of the buttons. 
So with what I have planned I can now physically look at my website while producing it which would help me immensely.

Production 

When I was creating my website, I started off with the color scheme and the choosing of the background photo so the reason I went with the combination of blue and white because it fit with the location of the business is at the coastal village of Brancaster Staite this then lead up to me using a photo of the brancaster Staite marshes  as the background of the website and this made up the master a page which I then created the 3 pages using this master as a template for the rest of the website. 

What I didn’t like about website is not planning to put anything on my home page as it looks so bare so if I was to adapt to this website I would look at adding something eye catching to the website so it pulls the visitor in not leave them there confused 

Another problem I encountered with my website is that my website is short on information which is quite disappointing because compared to what I planned to write so if I would do this project again I would talk with my client and ask for information that would be put on the website along with pictures instead of me wasting my time looking for them. 

Conclusion 

In conclusion of this project if I was to this project again would plan to fill every page on the site with something that doesn't bore the visitor also to make the change from page to page. 

Other all the website didn’t present like I wanted to do because I was late in actually creating the site because I spent too much time on the research and planning sections of the project when I could also work on the actual creation of the site so I conclusion I would change the complete layout of the website and further improve the timing of what I'm doing each week of the project and decide on which section.
